General Position Description:
The SBA Loan Auditor will work in the Consulting Department in support of a contract with the Small Business Administration (SBA), Office of Credit Risk Management, to assist with Lender Oversight Reviews. The Financial Analyst works with a team of analysts responsible for commercial loan file review activities of various financial institutions in support of SBA’s 7(a) Guaranteed Loan Program. The Financial Analyst must successfully complete a background check and obtain a SBA security clearance.
Note: The position does not include reviews of Paycheck Protection Program (‘PPP)] or Economic Industry Disaster Loans (‘EIDL’) loan programs
As a SBA Loan Auditor, you will be responsible for:
- Complete loan file reviews in accordance with standard due diligence processes to determine compliance with SBA 7(a) requirements.
- Utilize proprietary software program to draft findings from loan file reviews.
- Prepare internal reports for use by the SBA in completing their Risk Based Review reports.
- Additional administrative tasks as directed by Senior Financial Analyst.
Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 4+ years' recent experience with the following SBA 7(a) loan programs:
- 7(a) Standard
- 7(a) Small
- Express
- 5+ years of recent experience in commercial loan activities in accordance with standard due diligence processes at regulatory agencies, financial institutions, or similar organizations.
- Working knowledge of SBA’s 7(a) Loan Program Requirements including, but not limited to:
- Loan application process and required documentation.
- SOP eligibility requirements per SOP 50 10 6, SOP 50 10 7, and 50 10 7.1
- Underwriting of 7(a) Standard, 7(a) Small and Express loan requests.
- Loan closing process and documentation.
- 2+ years of experience with collections or special asset management of SBA 7(a) is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, analyze financial information, calculate key indicators and identify credit risks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook and Teams applications.
- Organized individual with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written communication and interpretation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a fully remote review team, located throughout the U.S.
- Bachelor’s degree a plus, however, 10+ years’ SBA 7(a) loan experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Supervision and Guidance:
The Financial Analyst will report directly to the Senior Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst is expected to perform assignments with minimal supervision where procedures have been established, know when to consult with the Senior Financial Analyst on complex tasks, and refer to SBA regulations and other written directives as necessary.

Office setting that requires extensive computer usage, sitting, and excellent business communication.

Salary
Salary at Williams Adley is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is between $95,000- $115,000 based on experience, skills, and certifications. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Williams Adley’s total compensation package for employees.
